A major event for me!
It took at least that for me to decide to touch the Sacrosanct Archive that this site represented… And what event could cause such an upheaval? I’ll give you a thousand guesses: a NEW PROJECT!
The most malicious among you will say “again???” while sighing with weariness… But, and I mean “but”, this is not a project like the others! Oh yes, because this one has the particularity of being crowdfunded. Yeah, just that! And we’re talking about it here!
So of course, the site will be used for several things but first and foremost to communicate about this project! And you know what? It’s a wonderful opportunity to break everything and start over! Of course, it will take time but I had to transform the site a little.
Back to life
It’s true that I’ve been waiting for a long time for the opportunity to “revive” the site. It’s all well and good to maintain memories and archives, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t do anything else during this time. The problem is that some projects aren’t really meant to be exhibited along the way… If, for example, you write a book, as long as it’s not finished and no publisher wants it, it’s not really worth talking about it, is it?
So I didn’t have that problem… I only sent one manuscript to see and I was immediately offered to do the book… at my own expense. Well. The problem is that I hadn’t advertised, I hadn’t talked about it and I haven’t repeated the experience since. It was a test and it paid off but it also made me understand that from time to time you have to come out of the shadows and start getting used to the light!
Working in the shadows
It may be paradoxical but I have always liked working in the shadows, without making waves about what I was producing as I went along. The advantage of working in the shadows is that no one has any expectations about what you are doing and there is no pressure on production dates. Better yet: you keep the entire creative aspect to yourself and do not let yourself be influenced, which gives you a fairly large creative freedom. Be careful, there are still certain limits that must not be crossed but despite everything we still enjoy a very large creative freedom free from any constraints.
Yes, but there you go… One day, we know that we will have to open the door and cross the shadows that have hidden us until then to go and say “hello” to the living and show them that while they were making necklaces of noodles for themselves instead of getting off, we were hard at work and we were not idle. So I found the DHD of the Limbo Gate to come and say hello to people, and at the same time bring a wind of transformation to the converted vault that this site represented. Let’s be clear: I’m coming back and I’m bringing with me something really special that I recommend you follow because it’s something quite exceptional.
